Abstract

The process of quantitative impurity determination carried out of a particular area involves following problems: characterization of the territory as the air pollution source based on pollution sources which are the main atmosphere polluters for the chosen territory (city); quantitative characterization of conservation detrimental impurities in ambient air.

The calculations presented include:

- calculation of detrimental imputers from the main air polluters;

- calculation of detrimental imputers dispersion in atmosphere for determining their surface concentration and measuring polluter zone dimensions of influence on environment;

- calculation of permissible imputers quantity.

The method of determining main polluters and pollution source characteristics for the business located at the territory is described.

At this territory we determine the air volume, detrimental impurity concentration which exceeds hygienic regulations. We use the Briggs equation (it's often used in foreign practice for air-blast rising).

The results achieved were compared with the data from Ussuriysk (city in the Russian Far East). The calculations were made in accordance with meteorological characteristics on the date of measurements. On the basis of our data analysis the method proves to be correct.
